We love games. Especially when they involve items we can use around the house and resemble sweet treats. In this easy DIY kids craft we'll show you how to recycle paper bags, scrapbook paper & popsicle sticks into the cutest memory game. Perfect for spring or summer.

The rules of game are similar to any other memory game. Lay all of the popsicles out in rows and columns. Then each person takes their turn flipping over the popsicles. When they get a match, they keep going. If they don't get a match, it's on the next person.

SUPPLIES NEEDED TO MAKE OUR POPSICLE MEMORY GAME:
• 1 Paper bag
• 7-10 differing patterns of scrapbook paper
• Mod Podge
• 14-20 popsicle sticks
• 1 Paint brush
• Scissors
• Popsicle stencil: Available for free here – https://goo.gl/NPiOz6

HOW TO MAKE OUR POPSICLE MEMORY GAME:

STEP 1:  First, start by downloading our free popsicle stencil available here: https://goo.gl/NPiOz6

We're going to make the backside of our popsicles. As in a traditional memory game, all of the backs will look the same. Trace as many backs as you can onto 1 paper bag. We made 14-20 backs, so we would have 7-10 matching popsicle sets. Feel free to add more if you'd like. Just remember you're doing everything in pairs.

STEP 2:  Now to make the front of the popsicles, hold a piece of scrapbook paper and fold it in half so the print is facing inside. Then trace the stencil on the white or blank side of the scrapbook paper. Because the paper was folded, when you cut out the stencil you'll end up with two matching popsicle fronts. Otherwise known as a pair!

Repeat step 2 until you have 7-10 popsicle pairs. Make as many pairs as you'd like.

STEP 3:  Lay a popsicle stick on the backside of the popsicle and Mod Podge the front and back sides together to create a sandwich effect. We detail this in the video.

STEP 4:  Now trim the popsicle shape if necessary.

STEP 5:  Enjoy the Popsicle Memory Game you created with the kids!
